Life is so different with two babies. It is absolutely amazing how fast (and sometimes slow) the days go by. I accomplish so much! (sorting large bags of generously given clothes) And I accomplish so little – on the creative front. I’m really looking forward to the time when the girls will be old enough to craft along with me.

So lately I’ve been doing a little knitting on my organic baby blanket. I’m very close to 1/2 way on the first one – which Hubby kindly pointed out is only 1/4 way complete with the entire project of TWO blankets – jerk face!
I’ve spent some time recently with a pair of socks I started possibly as long as 2 years ago – geez that scary. They were waiting for heels. Those heels are now done. Any bets on how long it will take to knit the ribbing?

I pulled the organic teddy bears out yesterday and quickly shoved them back in the bag. Those – at least – have only been WIP for about 18 months.

I’ve started baking bread. This is what consumes my evenings now (after the girls are down for the night of course). I’m doing a cool thing that used the food processor to knead and the microwave to rise/proof. Unfortunately I think I might have killed the FP today with a 5 c batch. Bummer – guess I just might have to spring for that Viking I’ve been eyeing.

I did a little spinning a few nights ago – maybe a week ago now. It was fun and came out better than I had expected considering how long it has been since I’ve done any.

Silk painting is next. I have some play silks to get dyed before my nieces b-day in two weeks. Think I can get it done? Most are solids, but one I want to paint her name into.

We are starting to think spring. I’m not sure we are going to do a garden this year, but we joined a CSA so we will have fresh veggies, we’ve ordered our rain barrel and a fancy smancy compost bin. Someone remind me why we aren’t doing a garden.
