It is harder to get to the computer to do these than I thought it would be. No two days are ever the same!

TWO is the Grumpy Old Bear pattern from Itty-bitty Nursery. I’ve blogged about this one before. I started this back in December, before I knew there were two. Now I’m stuck doubling the size of both of them. I’m doing a super tight gauge on these cause I don’t want little fingers putting out the stuffing and poly pellets. The gauge makes it more of a difficult knit, but the garter stitch is a super easy.

IMG_4931.jpg I am ecstatic to report that when I took this picture yesterday, although it might not look like much, I was one inch away from having enough boring brown squares to having enough for a complete Grumpy Bear!!

I realized this weekend that I was going to run out of yarn. I had to dip into the third skein to make the arms. So I ordered more yarn! Just what I need! I had a gift certificate to Flying Fingers so what the heck! (If you aren’t on their mailing list you really should be! They have sales ALL the time and send out random gift certificates that don’t expire … like this one I had from last Valentine’s Day.) I got the one ball of Nut I needed and a couple of bright colors for the next two project. One Fish, Two Fish! I think I got pink, purple and orange, to make striped fish, but I can’t remember for sure. That just makes it more like Christmas when the post arrives!

I’m also happy to report some progress on ONE! I am about 6 rows from being complete with the first set of overalls! All I have left is the border around the arms, then it will be time to cast on for the second set.

Off to be a mommy again …
