thinking …
I’ve been thinking about this post for a while. The post that means I’m finally done with things for a while; the class I was taking was over on Monday and I just got grades posted for the class I was teaching. I am teaching again this spring, but since I’m not taking a class it will be much easier to keep up with things. Those classes don’t start for a week, so in the mean time all I have to do is my syllabus.
It is hard to believe that when I started taking classes again – a little more than a year ago now – that I thought I had too much free time. All I did was spin and knit, what a rough life that was! Now here I am and I can’t really think of one great fiber project I’ve completed this year. There have been a couple pairs of socks … and I seriously can’t even think of anything else. Surely my memory is just fading a little … I didn’t knit a sweater in 2007! Does that mean I’m a failure?!?!?
This is getting a little depressing so I’m going to look forward a bit … I should get a darn good amount done on the purple baby sweater for the lady at work this weekend. I’ll get some pictures of that this weekend too. I should also be able to make some headway on the mice and post my story on that. I can also give a bear update, cause there has been progress, a little anyway.
What else is coming up? My birthday! This year I’ve thought less about it than any other year! I might have even forgot about if it wasn’t for a couple of persistent friends (gee thanks, Julie). There’s just so much going on! Everyone has asked what I want and what I want to do. How about a nice quiet day of knitting and spinning? Maybe some coffee (decaf please) with a friend. How about a nice long, super hot bath with a class of my favorite wine, and a day of uninterrupted sleep – you all know I can sleep for 12+ hours straight, no problem! Guess not though … the bath, wine, and sleep are all going to have to wait a while.
Speaking of sleep though, I’m pretty tired and am ready for bed. More soon … maybe even tomorrow! I’m not going to know what to do with all this free time!
