Seriously!
It is that time of year again.
It is bitterly cold. The snow is blowing. I haven’t seen our grass in weeks. AND the LYS is having their annual sale!
I’d love to say that I only bough what I needed, but I think everyone would know that was a lie. I’ve purchased my arms full (twice), it is Dec 31st, and I can now say that I’m done. I’m done buying yarn (and fiber) for a while! I’m serious this year. (How many before me have said that, I wonder?)
I probably went a little overboard with this last purchase and with fiber purchases in general this year. Outstanding fiber purchases include 2 clubs that I joined this year. One I’ve received 2 of the 3 packages and for the other “club” that was supposed to be over in December. I’ve received nothing! (I’ll probably devote an entire post to this topic soon.) That’s all that should be added to the stash though … at least on my part! The overboard-ness was probably due partly due to the fact that I know my days of reckless fiber/yarn purchases will soon be coming to an end. In about 6 months our lives are going to be turned topsy-turvy and I KNOW that finances will be an issue. To prepare … I’ve stocked up!
Recent acquisitions …
Rowan silk/wool in a foresty sort of green … pretty!
A Lorna’s Lace’s Little Can of Paint (why yes, it was a b!tch to open – just like a real can on paint!)
A Cashmere glove kit (remember this Dyan? There’s now one in my closet!)
A few colors of Mission Falls Wool.
For Christmas ….
What I can only call an alpaca fiber grab basket
Some buffalo!
So, you see why I can be done for a while?!?!
On my needles …. because it has been just short of forever since I posted (which is another “resolution” for this year, posting more often) … and what I’m actively working on. A baby sweater for a lady a work.
I’ll do some pictures tomorrow and tell you more about this baby sweater.
Happy New Year all! Be Safe!
